Any individual needing caregiving or providing caregiving knows how important social interaction is to their health. This can be difficult to find locally though. Many communities put together events that encourage interaction and participation from the local citizens. Many times though, it is difficult for people requiring long term care to join these events due to their ailment or timeframe. If they can arrive, more often than not, participation is difficult. With years of experience working with people just like this, we understand these difficulties, and that is why we actively aim to make community engagement possible in as many ways as possible.
The way we aim to do this is by bringing as much of these events or activities to the individual, instead of asking them to come to something. We want to coordinate with:
Local Churches or Christian communities to come visit, assist, and support caregivers and care receivers on a regular basis.
Local organizations to put together activities that are inclusive for our clients who would normally not be able to participate.
Local volunteers through The Bearing Together Project to come visit and provide whatever help may be necessary to the care-receiver and caregiver.Â
In this, we hope to create a social circle for care receivers and care givers to help them know they are not alone in this. We hope that genuine friendships in the name of Jesus arise and that Christ' love can be shown through them. Additionally, this will bring more awareness to people in the community for the needs of caregivers and care receivers, bringing greater assistance to individuals in need.
