Pray

Finances are important for providing the support we want for our benefactors, but it genuinely means nothing without prayer.  Prayer is the real work of the care we are providing.  Finances are just part of the means that bring those prayers to reality.  

Jesus modeled the importance of prayer well for us in His earthly ministry.  Regularly, He left to spend isolated time in prayer with the Father.  Jesus exemplified how to pray in the Lord's Prayer.  In this He taught us to pray for: God's will to take place here as it does in heaven, our continual daily provision from God, and our faithfulness through repentance from our sins towards the lifestyle Jesus called us to.  Jesus proclaimed the power of prayer when he said " whatever you ask, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."  This foundation leads us to view prayer and practice it the way we do: that prayer prepares us, reminds us, guides us, and pushes us to be faithful, dependent, and fueled by Jesus Christ in everything we do. 

When you partner with us in prayer, you join in these essential truths that we at The Bearing Together Project cling to. You are joining us in believing God will provide exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.  You are joining us in knowing God desires us to work in everything we do for his Glory.  You are joining us in seeking God's purpose and direction for us and so much more.  Without prayer, our endeavors and efforts are ultimately fruitless. If God is not leading us, then we are simply running away from what He wants in the lives of our leaders, benefactors, donors, volunteers, and partners.  Your prayers to God on our behalf remind us to continually rely on God and strive for his direction in everything we do.  So, we ask as many of you as possible, please pray for us. Pray that:

• We make decisions for the greatest benefit of our benefactors and donors.

• We make decisions focused on genuinely helping people, not simply as an organization or entity.

• We practice the hospitality, selflessness, compassion, and genuineness that Jesus modeled for us.

• We are provided for financially, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually, exactly as God intends for this organization.

• We would be willing to move in whatever direction God leads us.

• We would remember our end goal of helping people see that Jesus is the only lasting answer for anything we face in this life.
