Application For Benefits

Our application process is focused on being personal, timely, thorough, and transparent. Whenever you fill out our benefits application form, the following are the steps that will take place:

You will need to submit your completed application to us. It is approximately 20 pages in length and will take between 1-2 hours to complete. If you have completed it online, submit it through our secure submission portal (see below).
Within 48 Hours upon receiving your application, we will reach out to you via phone call or email. The purpose is to clearly communicate that we have received your application, answer any questions you may have, and designate a follow-up meeting time.
Between 7 and 14 days after receiving your application, we will have the planned follow-up meeting with you either in person or through a video call. This will be a time to: get to know us, communicate your needs, answer any questions you may have, and hear more about what it means to be one of our clients.
Your application will be reviewed by our consultants committee. This committee consists of professionals in the medical and financial field who, with their expertise, will provide recommendations for support based on your unique life situation. The goal of this process is to meet as many of your needs as possible in order to aim for holistic life support.
Our Board of Directors will review your application, as well as the recommendations from the consulting committee. These recommendations will be instrumental in the board's decision making process for the kind, and degree of benefits that will be offered to you.
Between 21 and 28 days after receiving your application, one of our Board Members will reach out to you via phone call or email to let you know that the Board has reviewed your application and put together a "Benefits and Accountability Agreement." This agreement will contain the benefits we wish to offer you, the terms of those benefits, and an agreement between yourself and The Bearing Together Project on following through with the benefits and terms made within that document.
Upon signing the Benefits and Accountability Agreement, we will set up our benefits for you per the agreement and you will be one of our clients. This entire process (Steps 1-7) should take no less than 30 days from the day we have received your application.
