We dream of a world where no person needing or providing care: feels alone in the midst of their struggles; is isolated or neglected through their hardship; or goes without knowing they are deeply loved by Jesus Christ. When you partner with us in this mission, you are helping bring our hope and dreams for these people into reality. You are helping them see and experience love that can only be found in Jesus. Join us in prayer, in giving, in volunteering, and in spreading the word about the services we offer. Most importantly though, join us in sharing the hope only made possible in Jesus.
Jesus Christ brings hope to all of humankind that goes beyond any circumstance, situation, or ailment that life may bring. He is why we do what we do at The Bearing Together Project. We, as Christians and as an organization, believe that our purpose in life is to live out Jesus' example and make known the hope, love and sacrifice that he provided. He did not do all of this so that we would merely believe in some moral code or philosophy. Jesus deeply desires for all people to know Him in a personal and relational way. Because of that, our hope is that through your interactions with The Bearing Together Project, you will encounter this same Jesus, who loves you more than we could ever hope to imagine. We are aiming to simply imitate the perfect life that Jesus has already led. To love as He loved; to serve as He served; to be faithful as He was faithful, and much more. The way we specifically live this out is by bearing the burdens of the people around us, specifically care-receivers and caregivers. This central idea that our entire organization is based on comes from Galatians 6:2:
"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ"
"Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ"
To fulfill the law of Christ is simply to love others the way he has loved us. For people who need or provide full time care, it is certainly a burdensome life. By coming alongside these people and supporting them physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually, we are living out the love that Christ has already shown us. We want these people to know that there is hope despite their circumstances and a perfect savior in Jesus Christ who's love carries us through all situations. We aim that in everything we do, people see Jesus.
