1. Scripture: The Bible is God's inspired and inerrant teaching , given to man, as the specific revelation of Himself. It is the ultimate authority for living good, moral, and faithful lives. Exodus 24:3-4; Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Matthew 5:17-18; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:2-3
2. God: There is only one God. God is the creator of all things and is three distinct yet coequal and coeternal persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 20:1; Isaiah 64:8; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-4; John 14:6-15; Acts 5:3-4
3. Jesus Christ: Jesus is the Son of God, who revealed himself in the flesh through the virgin birth. He lived a perfect life, died a sinless death, rose bodily from the grave in resurrection and has ascended to the right hand of God the Father. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross provide the means of salvation for all of humankind. Matthew 1:18-23; 16:21; John 1:1-18; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-22
4. The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God that indwells the Church of Jesus Christ. He convicts us of sin, guides us in life, and enables believers to live a godly life. Genesis 1:2; Isaiah 61:1-3; Matthew 28:19-20; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-11
5. Salvation: Salvation is the eternal redemption of the whole person back into a righteous relationship with God. In it, Jesus offers himself in our place as a perfect sacrifice, taking the punishment we all, as sinners, deserve. Through his resurrection, if we choose to follow him in faith, we are also spiritually resurrected to life along with him. Salvation is offered freely to all who faithfully accept and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. John 3:3-21, 36; John 5:24; Acts 2:21; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 4:12; Acts 15:11; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-22
6. Humanity: Humankind was created by God in His image. Humanity, freely of our own choosing, sinned against God and brought sin, and therefore death, into the human race. The sacredness of humanity is evident in that God created humanity in His own image and that Christ died for all humankind, therefore all life is considered sacred. Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3:1-19; Exodus 20:13; Acts 17:26-31; Romans 3:23-26; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Ephesians 2:1-22
7. The Church: The collective body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in faith, fellowship of the gospel, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Local Churches serve as microcosms of the global Church. Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:41-42; 44-47; 13:1-3; 15:1-30; 1 Corinthians 1:2
8. Unity: In Jesus Christ, all who follow Him are unified as the Body of Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and social classes. God practices no partiality and calls His Church to walk in the very same manner. Acts 2:44; Romans 2:11 Romans 10:12-13; Ephesians 4:1-6; Colossians 3:11-14
